Custom Ultra Frame Bag


Here at Dispersed we make frame bags the way we would want them on our own bikes. So features like top tube lace-up, bolt-on grommets, and tapered width are standard. For Ultra frame bags we go even further and replace every panel on the bag with a lightweight equivalent. The result is a frame bag that’s 10-20% lighter than our standard frame bag (depends on the size of the bag).

Standard Ultra frame bag features:

    • Ultra side panels with black Ultra perimeter
    • Lightweight, hi-viz interior bag cloth (also from recycled fibers) to minimize weight.
    • Lace-up top tube attachment for even load distribution.
    • Bolt-on bottle boss attachments on seat tube and down tube.
    • Burly #8, water-resistant, molded tooth water-resistant zippers for durability and smooth operation.
    • Hydration hose/electronics port

Challenge Ultra 200 is lightweight (3.5oz/yd² vs 6oz/yd² for Ecopak/X-Pac) and more abrasion resistant than 1000D Cordura. Made with UHMWPE fibers and a recycled waterproof film. If you’re looking for an ultralight frame bag, you’re in the right place. 

What’s the deal with these width options?

    • MTB – Choose this for the largest volume bag. With a lower and longer triangle, knee rub is less common, so your bag can be wider. Note the bag can bulge wider than the listed width (that’s the measurement along the top tube). A baffle is recommended for large frame bags to limit the amount of bulge.
    • Gravel – You want a little extra volume, but you want to keep the bag narrower to avoid rubbing. A good compromise on gravel frames or for those with a narrow stance.
    • Slim – If capacity is lower priority or you know your knees are prone to rubbing, a slim frame bag is the way to go. No taper means the bag is the same width front to back. Super aero. A baffle will still help limit any bulging on large bags.

Optional frame bag add-ons:

    • Non-driveside zipper pocket (+$25)
      • Flat pocket with small internal pockets for tools or accessories. Also known as a map pocket.
      • On Ultra bags, this is a stretch mesh pocket (with Ultra fibers!)
    • Internal baffles
      • Vertical baffle (+$15)
          •  This vertical divider features velcro to hold the two sides of the bag together. If you need to open up the bag to carry something large, separate the velcro and the baffle folds out of the way. See photo above. Only recommended on larger frames. Particularly useful when using a hydration bladder inside the frame bag, this reserves a spot to slide the bladder in and out when the bag is filled with other items.






      • Horizontal baffle with 2nd driveside zipper (+$40) 
        • This divides the bag into 2 compartments with a separate zipper for each. The baffle is made with velcro so it can be separated to use the full capacity of the bag if necessary.
